Anhydridum tetrahydrophtalicum deinde cum acido nitrico oxidatur ad acidum butane tetracarboxylicum obtinendum, quod est materia prima ad pigmenta aquasolubilia facienda. Similiter, anhydridum tetrahydrophtalicum hydrogenatur ad anhydridum hexahydrophtalicum producendum, quod ut agens curans pro resina epoxydica adhiberi potest. (3) Cum dioxido sulphuris reagit ad cyclobutenum sulfonum generandum, quod deinde in solutionem aquosam praeparatur et in praesentia catalysatoris niccoli sceletalis hydrogenatur ad cyclobutenum sulfolanum producendum, quod est solvens selectivus ad extractionem hydrocarboni aromatici. Mixtura sulfolani et diisopropanolamini ut gas decarbonationis adhiberi potest. (4) Reactio telomerizationis linearis butadieni in industria perutilis est. Post dimerizationem linearem, olefinum catenae rectae octo carboniorum obtinetur, quod deinde hydroformylatur et hydrogenatur ad nonanol obtinendum, quod usus importantes in synthesi odorum, surfactantium, et additivorum lubricantis habet. Complexu cobalti ut catalysatore adhibito, dimerizatio, trimerizatio et tetramerizatio eius omnes materiae primae sunt ad synthesizandum alcoholes superiores et muscum macrocyclicum.
