Similiter, anhydrida tetrahydrophthalica hydrogenata est ad anhydrida hexahydrophthalicam producendam, quae uti potest in curatione agentis resinae epoxy. (3) Reflectitur cum dioxide sulphure ad cyclobutenam sulfonis chemicalis generandam, quae tunc praeparatur in solutionem aqueam et hydrogenata in praesentia sceleti nickel catalyst ad producendum sulfolanum cyclobutenum, quod est electivum solvens pro hydrocarbon extractione aromatica.
