Intermedium tincturae adhibitum, per hydroxylationem N-methylanilini et oxidi aethyleni producitur. Adde 105 kg N-methylanilini in ollam reactionis, calefac ad 130°C, et aerem nitrogenio substitue. Ad 150-152°C (librum chemicum), infra circiter 0.3MPa, 50 kg oxidi aethyleni per vices infunde. Post additionem, ad 150-155°C per tres horas serva ut 150-155 kg N-hydroxyethyl-N-methylanilini obtineantur.
