3) Ortho-toluidine media est fungiciderum tricyclazoli, metalaxyli, furoxalini, insecticidi et acaricidarum dimethamidinis, lilacan, herbicidis ibutachloris, napachlori, acetochlori, etc. Est etiam media principalis tinctura chemicalis. Proferre potest basi maroon GBC, basi magna rubra G, basi rubra RL, naphthol As-D, acidum 3B rubrum, basic fuchsin, etc., et colores reciprocos producere potest.
4) Ponitur ad tincturam productorum ut basim maronis GBC, basis magna rubra G, basi rubra RL, naphthol ASD, acidum roseum 3B, basicum fuchsin et praecipue roseum T, necnon pesticides insecticidium, saccharinum, vulcanizationem promotionis agentis; beneficiation agente toluene acidi arsenici etc.

Modus productionis:

I) per reductionem o-nitrotoluene. Reductio reactionis uti potest pulveris ferrei ad reductionem agentis, et etiam potest hydrogenari coram catalyst aeris in 260-280°C ut o-methyl chemical anilineum obtineat. Contentum o-toluidine in productorum industrialium (summo amino contento) supra 99% est, et hydrogenatio methodi reductionis 1300 kg nitrotoluenae consumit et 940 m3 hydrogenii per ton producti.

2) Praeparatio methodus catalytica hydrogenii reductione o-nitrotoluenae praeparatur. Ob varias hydrogenationum catalystas, condiciones reactionis diversae sunt. Exempli causa, catalysta aeris adhibetur, et temperatura reactio 260°C. Nickel catalysts etiam adhiberi potest.
